PUSA: The Member of Parliament for Batang Lupar, Mohamad Shafizan Kepli, expressed hope that additional assistance, such as the provision of a new home, could be arranged by the government to ease the burden of the victims affected by the recent fire in Kampung Tengah Kalok last Saturday.

He expressed sympathy for the plight of Japar Buang’s family, who lost everything in the incident.

“I am deeply sympathetic towards what has happened and I hope the affected family remains patient in the face of this test from Allah.

“I also hope the government can arrange for further assistance, such as a new house for Japar’s family,” he said.

He made these remarks during a visit to the victims of the fire in Kampung Tengah Kalok yesterday.

During his visit, Shafizan presented a contribution of RM3,000 to the family.

He expressed his gratitude to the agencies that had stepped forward to provide assistance to the victims.

Japar’s home was completely destroyed in a fire last Saturday morning.

Earlier, in keeping with Syawal traditions, Shafizan paid visits to relatives in Kampung Pusa.

He remarked that the practice of visiting one another during the festive season is a meaningful way to strengthen bonds by gathering with family and friends.
