MUKAH: Fire victims of Kampung Penakub Ulu here received further donations from the public on Thursday.
Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Mukah Branch and Mukah Chinese Benevolent Society visited the victims and presented cash contributions to them in a simple ceremony near the site of the burned house.
Chairman of both organisations, Yeo Tiong Ing, led the visit.
Kapitan Kueh Bing Chuan and Ketua Kaum Jefri Musa also attended the event.
Two families comprising 14 people were left homeless when their house was completely destroyed in a fire which happened on Feb 15 at 9.15am.
No injuries or fatalities were reported.
