KUCHING: More than 2,500 participants are set to take part in the first ever Regas Premium Auto BMW Run Sarawak today (Dec 22).
The event, organised by Regas Premium Auto, the authorised dealer for BMW, MINI and Motorrad in Sarawak and Sabah, will commence at the Kuching South City Council (MBKS) compound.
MBKS Mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng and Regas Premium Auto dealer principal Josephine Tay will be present to flag off the 5km and 10km events.
The run aims to promote brand awareness while encouraging participants to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
Meanwhile, the day’s programme will begin with a warm-up session at 5.45 am, followed by the 10km race at 6 am and the 5km race at 6.30 am.
Those tackling the 10km route must complete their route by 8 am.
A key attraction of the event is the finishing medal, uniquely designed to resemble a BMW tyre rim.
The exclusive medal has garnered significant interest, with many signing up just to secure this special keepsake.
With its inaugural running event, Regas Premium Auto hopes to bring the event to other cities in Sarawak in the future.
Yesterday (Dec 21), participants went to Regas Premium Auto Kuching Showroom at Jalan Tun Jugah to collect their race packs.
