US theme park Six Flags is opening a new roller coaster this summer – and it’s supposed to be a record-breaker.
The Maxx Force will accelerate to 126 km/h in around 2 seconds, making it the fastest launch rollercoaster in North America.
The coaster will also have “the fastest inversion and tallest double inversion” in the world.
Six Flags Great America is located in Gurnee in the US state of Illinois. From Chicago, you can get there in a car in around 45 minutes.
The new coaster takes this park’s number of roller coasters to a total of 17. The attraction also features a massive water park, more than 30 other rides and shows. – dpa
