66 needy people received financial assistance totaling RM21,000

MIRI: 66 needy people from three different organisations here in Miri on Tuesday received financial assistance totaling RM21,000 from the Inland Revenue Board Malaysia(IRB)

These three organisations were Kompleks Kebajikan Hamidah Yakup Miri (Rumah Anak Yatim); 

Persatuan Ibu Bapa Kanak-Kanak Istimewa (PIBAKIS) Miri; and Pusat Maahad Tahfiz An-Naim Lutong, Miri. 

The assistance were presented during IRB’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme for Miri division which took placed at Peryatim Miri.

On hand to present all the construction was its chief executive officer Dato’ Sri Dr Mohd Nizom Sairi.

Also present was PERYATIM’s Miri chairman Julaihi Mohamad, 

“The IRB Sarawak had conducted a collection drive from 800 of its IRB staff to help the needy groups,” said Mohd Nizom.

He added, the collection drive was carried out amongst its staff to enhance the spirit of helping those in needs.

Mohd Nizom pointed out that via this engagements, its showed that IRB os not only collecting taxes from the rich at also disbursed financial assistance to the needy groups.

“Since 2011,IRB has been helping the government to disburse assistance to the rakyat starting from Bantuan Rakyat 1 Malaysia (BRIM) until the present one-Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR),” he said.
