KUCHING: A shock to the Sarawak Football Association (FAS) when its secretary general, Razali Dolhan announced his resignation effective from January 13.
The matter was announced by FAS president Dato Posa Majais at a press conference at the State Stadium Meeting Room, Petra Jaya, recently. “We have received a circular from the Malaysian Sports Commissioner who did not allow Exco FAS to hold two positions in the association,” he explained.
“It all led to the resignation of the FAS secretary general (Razali Dolhan) on that date” he said. While honouring the resignation of the secretary general (Razali Dolhan), Dato Posa at the same time acknowledged that Razali Dolhan is still among the current FAS vice-presidents.
Posa added that as a result of the resignation of the post (secretary- general) all the administrative works of the governing body will be held temporarily by FAS executive secretary, Jeffrery Lana.
“We welcome the people who are interested and have the potential to fill the vacancy,” said Dato Posa, adding that the vacancy post will be filled in the near future. – By Faizal Bujang
