BETONG: The Ramadan Bazaar in Betong is bustling with visitors as it offers various choices of food and beverages.

According to Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development, Datuk Gerald Rentap Jabu, the bazaar was visited by people of various ethnicities who came to experience the ambience and buy delicious foods and drinks sold by vendors during the month of Ramadan.

“This bazaar is not just a business platform, but also a platform for unity, allowing people of different ethnicities to experience the Ramadan atmosphere,” he said after visiting the Betong Ramadan bazaar on yesterday.

Rentap who is also the Layar assemblyman said that providing a permanent location for the Ramadan bazaar was unnecessary at the moment, adding that the current location at Tasik Medan was more suitable.

“It’s a recreational area and close to various facilities such as shops, banks, public toilets and others.
“This area also hosts sales activities according to the season, whether it’s the Ramadan bazaar, Farmers’ Market, or Gawai bazaar,” he said.
