KUCHING: The Malaysian Super League match between Kuching City FC and Kedah Darul Aman FC was postponed due to heavy downpour and a wet pitch.
The match played at the Sarawak State Stadium, Petra Jaya on Friday (Jan 24), was halted in the 16.29 minute, around 8.31
pm.
After over 40-minute delay for field inspections and discussions between match officials and referees, the decision to postpone the match was final.
At the time of the stoppage, the game was still goalless, with Kuching City FC looking dangerous in the opening 10 minutes.
Despite ankle-deep water on the pitch, both teams continued to push forward under the relentless downpour.
The rescheduled match will be announced at a later date by the Malaysian Football League.
