MUKAH: Tellian constituency service centre contributed some 140 boxes of bottled drinking water to three quarantine centres (QC) here on Saturday (Sept 4).

The service centre’s special officer Felix Pieng said 50 boxes were distributed to Mukah Youth Camp QC, Politeknik Mukah QC and Kingwood Hotel QC at KM15, Jalan Mukah-Balingian.

Felix, who represented Tellian assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo, handed over the contribution to the representatives of the respective QCs.

Felix said the service centre had handed over similar contributions and food aid to those affected by the movement control order (MCO).

He hoped that the Covid-19 infection in this district would decrease, so that the people’s lives would not be too restricted.

Mukah district officer Shaferi Saili and Sarawak administrative officer (SAO) Nolin Gendang from the Mukah Division Resident Office also attended the event.
