PADAWAN: Puncak Borneo MP Datuk Willie Mongin has given his approval for a grant of RM30,000 to be allocated to the village development and safety committee (JKKK) of Kampung (Kg) Simboh.

According to Willie, a portion of the grant amounting to RM10,000 would be provided as an outright grant (OG) for the committee’s activities.

The remaining RM20,000 would be directed towards refurbishing the football field as part of the Projek Mesra Rakyat.

He highlighted that this funding would enable the committee to address pressing needs within the village and improve sports and recreational facilities for local residents.

He made these remarks during his speech at the closing ceremony of the Gawai Sports Carnival held at the Kg Simboh multipurpose hall on Sunday (June 4).

Willie also praised the commendable efforts of the youth affairs bureau of Kg Simboh for promoting cooperation among village residents, particularly the younger generation, in addressing social issues and enhancing their sense of identity.
