KUALA LUMPUR: A People’s Consultative Paper (KKR) will be tabled to the Cabinet on a new mechanism for repayment of National High Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) loans, the Dewan Rakyat heard today.
Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik said the findings of the KKR made public from last May 16 to June 13 would be fine-tuned by a special advisory panel so as to identify the best proposals to be applied.
“For the period from 2013 to May 2019, PTPTN managed to collect a repayment amount of RM6.23 billion from 1.13 million borrowers,” he said. – Bernama
