It also confirmed that all invited guests including activists, particularly from Satok, where the late Mohd Hasbie Sulaiman was raised and lived—will attend the event.

“Several associations and departments connected to the life history of the late author have also confirmed their attendance,” said Sarawak Writers Association Deputy President Dr Roji Saibi in a press statement.

Mohd Hasbie Sulaiman, the author of Perjuangan Anti-Cession Sarawak and a member of Benteng 338, is celebrated for his unwavering dedication to Sarawak’s anti-cession movement.

Adat Resam Masyarakat Melayu Sarawak is the fourth book by Mohd Hasbie.

The book documents Sarawak Malay customs that have been practiced for generations, as recorded by the author himself.

The Sarawak Writers Association acted as the publisher for this 150-page book, which is based on the original notes of Mohd Hasbie, and also assisted with layout design and printing to enhance its presentation.

During the event, the Premier is also expected to present the books to the State Education Department for distribution to schools, as well as to the Sarawak State Library.

The full-colour book will be sold at RM30.00 per copy.
