ENGKILILI: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has rubbished claims that a vote for Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) is a vote for UMNO.
“There is nothing related to UMNO, no..no nothing because UMNO is not here, even Barisan Nasional (BN) is not here,” he said.
He stressed that voting for a GPS candidate in this general election is a vote for GPS.
“Let them say what they want, my face is not even like Zahid (UMNO president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi).”
He said this when asked by reporters on some quarters saying a vote for GPS is a vote for UMNO after attending the Sri Aman Sarawakku Sayang programme at Engkilili, Sri Aman, on Today.
He noted that there is someone who is not grateful.
“During the state election, he enters this party, but when he is in, he wants to withdraw. But how you want to withdraw if your name is already there?
“We have the good deeds, so you have to be thankful. Like people say ‘ada padi ada beras, ada budi ada balas,” he said
