KUCHING: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg joined the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Sarawak Contingent for a breaking of fast at the Al-Muhajidin Mosque, located within the Tabuan Jaya Police Housing Complex, yesterday.

Arriving at around 6.20 pm, he took the opportunity to visit several areas within the complex that had undergone renovation works funded by the Sarawak government.

His visit reflected the state government’s commitment to the welfare of security personnel serving in Sarawak.

Following the inspection, Abang Johari, accompanied by his delegation and other guests proceeded to the mosque to await the Maghrib prayer and begin the breaking of fast ceremony.

The breaking of fast started with light refreshments before attendees performed the Maghrib prayer in congregation.

After that, the Premier and police personnel sat down for the main iftar meal before continuing with Isyak and Tarawih prayers.

The event concluded with the presentation of a token of appreciation to Abang Johari in recognition of his presence and support.
