KUCHING: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and his wife, Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang, today continued the Hari Raya Aidilfitri tradition of ‘berjarah’ (festive visiting).

He visited the residence of Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Project Coordinator for Regional Development Agencies, Kuching North City Hall, and Islamic Affairs), Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi.

Abang Johari and his entourage arrived at 10.50 am and were warmly received by Dr Abdul Rahman and his wife, Datin Siti Shorgayah Ahmad Zaidin, at their home on Jalan Sultan Tengah here.

The visit reflected the spirit of unity and camaraderie continuously fostered among the state leadership in celebration of Aidilfitri.

The cheerful and friendly atmosphere was further enlivened by the presence of family members and close acquaintances.

Following the visit, Abang Johari continued his Aidilfitri engagements at the Utility and Telecommunication Ministry’s 2025 Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House with Agencies at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK).

He later proceeded to the final stop of the day – the 2025 Aidilfitri Open House hosted by Stakan assemblyman, Datuk Hamzah Ibrahim, at the Stakan Service Centre in Kota Samarahan at 2.00 pm.

These ‘berjarah’ visits have become a cherished annual tradition for state leaders, aimed at strengthening ties and fostering goodwill with both government officials and the local community during Hari Raya celebrations.
