KUCHING: Despite his busy schedule, Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, accompanied by his wife Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang, attended the wedding reception of Deputy Minister for Transport Datuk Henry Harry Jinep’s eldest child at BCCK here.

The joyous occasion celebrated the union of the bride, Eunice Henie Silodik, daughter of Henry and the groom, Defterios Mondaley, son of Rundi Noew.

The event was also graced by the Speaker of the Sarawak State Assembly, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohd Asfia Awang Nassar, along with ministers, deputy ministers, and their spouses.

The ceremony was held on Saturday night, while earlier on that day, Abang Johari had returned from Kuala Lumpur and travelled directly by road to Betong to officiate at the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Delegates Meeting for Betong Zone.

On Friday, he received the Honorary Fellow Award from the Malaysian Institute of Planners (MIP), presented by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, at a ceremony held at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
