KUALA LUMPUR: Pos Malaysia Berhad (Pos Malaysia) is delighted to be part of the 80 years of Batman’s timeless superhero evolution celebration. Working in collaboration with Warner Bros Consumer Products and DC, Pos Malaysia has launched a limited edition stamp issuance featuring Batman on Nov 13.

Pos Malaysia Group chief executive officer Syed Md Najib Syed Md Noor said, “This Batman stamp series pays tribute to 80 years of timeless storytelling.

“The stamp collection will feature 10 images of the Caped Crusader from artistically distinct periods across his comic book history, exhibiting the evolution of the Dark Knight over the past eight decades.”

The limited edition Setem Ku series will be available for purchase in a complete folder set. It will not be sold separately.

The complete set consists of two sheets of perforated Batman stamps, one sheet featuring a ‘Batman 80 Years’ logo stamp with a premium holographic foil printing technique, two pieces of souvenir covers with five stamps on each cover, three pieces of Batman-themed postcards, and one piece of the Dark Knight folder with special die-cut and spot UV effects.

The complete set is priced at RM120 each. In their continuous effort to encourage and attract younger generations to rejuvenate stamp collecting in the modern era, the limited edition stamp series
will also be made available in a special pack consisting of a miniature sheet with three Batman stamps, a presentation pack with tear-off postcards and one Batman-themed special envelope for only RM10.

First appearing as socialite turned crime-fighter Bruce Wayne in DC’s Detective Comics #27 on March 30, 1939, the Dark Knight has stood as a symbol of determination, bravery and justice to generations of fans for 80 years. He has influenced every area of modern entertainment, appearing in countless comic books, cartoons, television series, video games, theme parks and experiences, toys, collectibles, apparel and lifestyle products, as well as blockbuster animated and live-action films.
