KAPIT: The Kapit District Police are probing the sudden death of a man at a construction site in the open field across Taman Betek and along Kapit Bypass Road.
According to Kapit police chief DSP Rohana Nanu, at around 5.45 pm yesterday (Nov 1), responding to tips from the public, police officers and personnel from the Criminal Investigation Division and the Crime Prevention and Community Safety Division, arrived at the location.
“Upon reaching the site, law enforcement personnel came across the body of a man suspected to have perished three days earlier.
“The deceased was found lying face down on the ground, fully dressed, with a bag on his person. Initial examination did not yield any identification documents for the deceased.
“Presently, the police have not been able to ascertain the cause of death, and the case is under investigation as a sudden death report,” she said.
