XIAOMI’S sub-brand Poco has just announced on its social media platforms that it will be launching the Poco X7 Pro on January 9, 2025 at 8 PM.
According to specs sheets, the Poco X7 Pro is essentially a rebadged Redmi Turbo 4 and will be sold as its international market twin.
On the outside, the Poco X7 Pro/Redmi Turbo 4 sports a clean design with glass panels on the front and back, wrapped with an aluminium frame. At the back of the device is a vertically aligned camera island that looks to be inspired by the likes of the iPhone 16.
Powering the Redmi Turbo 4 is MediaTek’s 4nm-based Dimensity 8400 Ultra chipset, which can be paired with up to 16GB of RAM in China.
As its twin, this could make the Poco X7 Pro the first globally sold smartphone to feature the chipset. Other speculated details include a 6.67-inch Full HD+ OLED display, a dual camera setup with a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide shooter, with a 1/1.95” Sony LYT-600 sensor and OIS, along with an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide shooter. Meanwhile, the front sports a 20MP f/2.2 selfie shooter.
The camera lenses do go the extra mile by doing double duty as LED ring lights.
As for the battery, the Poco X7 Pro is said to sport a 6,550mAh battery and will support Xiaomi’s 90W wired charging tech.
The major difference between the Redmi Turbo 4 and the Poco X7 Pro is the colour options. The Poco X7 Pro can be seen wearing a black and yellow dual-tone back cover, which gives it a more youthful and to a certain extent, gaming vibe. The Redmi Turbo 4, on the other hand, sports a more minimalistic white back cover and a thin red line vertically running across it.
