SARIKEI: PMG Healthcare Sdn Bhd celebrated its remarkable achievements last year during its 13th anniversary dinner held at the iconic Sarikei Central Market.
The event also commemorated its forward-looking vision, and its commitment to revolutionising healthcare services across Malaysia.
Its executive chairman Dr. Chieng King Chong, reflected on the company’s outstanding achievements in 2024, including the merger with AMPM Pharmacy, adding 46 outlets in Johor and Penang.
Other than that it opened 30 new outlets nationwide, bringing PMG’s total operations to 150 retail pharmacies, 25 medical clinics, and eight dental clinics, growing its membership base to 1.6 million members, serving over 10 million annual visits and launching Total Care Diagnostics Centres in Sibu and Bintulu, with plans to expand to Kuching and Miri this year.
Dr. Chieng also unveiled PMG’s ambitious vision for 2025, which includes expanding its network to 235 outlets nationwide, achieving RM500 million in revenue, integrating advanced technologies and AI, strengthening employee development initiatives and reiterating its commitment to its 2027 IPO agenda.
The dinner event was graced by Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii.
“The Sarawak government has made significant strides in driving economic growth and development under the brilliant leadership of Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
“Initiatives focusing on improving infrastructure, education, and social welfare, alongside advancements in other key sectors, are crucial in moving Sarawak towards its goal of becoming a high-income state,”he said at the dinner.
He also highlighted the success of the Sarawak Senior Citizens Health Benefit (SCHB) programme, which provides eligible senior citizens aged 60 years and above with up to RM500 annually for cashless outpatient treatment at registered clinics.
“Covering both medical and dental services, this programme has significantly alleviated congestion in public healthcare facilities and improved healthcare accessibility across Sarawak,”he added.
The event also underscored the importance of public-private collaboration in fostering sustainable economic growth and social development.
Strong partnerships, such as those between PMG Healthcare and government initiatives, ensure efficient resource allocation and innovative solutions to meet community needs.
A highlight of the evening was the introduction of PMG’s strategic partner, Ikhlas Capital, represented by chairman Tan Sri Datuk Sri Mohamed Nazir Tun Datuk Indera Abdul Razak, and managing director Tay Ek Ming.
Their collaboration is set to propel PMG Healthcare to new heights in the healthcare sector.
