KUCHING: The Kuching Water Board (KWB) will carry out repair works on an 800mm ND DI pipe leak at Jalan Premat, near the Pending Post Office here, after the Hari Raya celebrations.
The decision to delay the repairs is to minimise disruption to water supply during the festive period.
The leak, located at the central reservation of a busy road, has caused minor water pooling.
If repaired immediately, it could lead to water supply interruptions affecting residents in Darul Hana, Petra Jaya, Demak Laut and Bako.
Until the repairs are completed, KWB will closely monitor the situation and implement safety measures.
The board appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as they work towards a timely resolution.
