KUCHING: An accident near the Uplands roundabout today (Sept 17) left a pillion rider with thigh injuries.

The collision, between a motorcycle and a car, occurred at about 10.50 am at Jalan Wan Alwi.

The Civil Defence Force (APM) Kuching was alerted of the accident eight minutes later at 10.58 am.

In response, they sent a team of four members to assist.

Upon reaching the scene, the team gave first aid to the injured 26-year-old man lying at the roadside. He had a broken right thigh and was sent to the hospital for further treatment.

Both the motorcycle rider and the car driver were safe.

The victim is taken to the hospital.
