KUALA LUMPUR: The Association of Wives and Women Employees of Petronas (Petronita) has contributed RM255,000 worth of critically needed medical equipment and supplies to hospitals as well as healthcare frontliners via its Covid-19 Donation Drive.

The Donation Drive that ran from March 20 till April 5, saw the collections of funds from Petronas employees, their families, as well as the public.

Petronita president, Puan Sri Dr Azura Ahmad Tajuddin said this initiative is a token of appreciation from Petronita to help ease the frontliners’ burden and keep their spirits high in times of mitigating the outbreak.

“While Malaysians are staying safe at home, a large group of our healthcare workers are working diligently to ensure our safety and with them being at the forefront, it is imperative that their own health and well-being are taken care of.

“Through Yayasan Petronas, the Petronita Covid-19 Donation Drive complements Petronas’ contribution of RM20 million worth of medical equipment and supplies to help hospitals and healthcare front-liners mitigate the spread of the outbreak in Malaysia,” Azura said in a statement.
