BINTULU: Petronas subsidiaries in Bintulu have reached out to 56 pupils who were recently affected by a fire at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sebauh hostel.

The aid items were handed to them at a ceremony  attended by Utilities Minister Datuk Seri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom, Petronas LNG 9 Sdn Bhd and Malaysia LNG Group of Companies managing director and chief executive officer  Mohamed Syazwan Abdullah @ Laga Jenggi and Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd Sarawak Gas manager Mijun Nasin.

“I hope this gesture will help to ease the immediate burden of the pupils and teachers of SK Sebauh and motivate the pupils in their studies,” said Mohamed Syazwan in a statement issued today.

Apart from providing disaster relief, Petronas also provided face masks to secondary schools in and around Bintulu last month to mitigate the spread of Covid-19 as schools nationwide reopened.
