KUCHING: Yayasan Dakwah Islamiah Malaysia (Yadim) Sarawak had channelled petrol assistance worth RM5,000 for the benefit of FoodPanda riders in Kuching district.
“This petrol assistance will be distributed to selected 250 riders in the district.

“They will each receive RM20 which will be credited to their Setel account by Petronas Ulu Bintawa Petrol Station,” said Yadim director Awang Dulhadi Awang Mat.
He said this during a cheque handover ceremony from him to the Petronas Head of Retail Sales Abby Sukardy Mohamad at the Petronas Ulu Bintawa Petrol Station, Kuching on Saturday (July 31).
“However, this RM20 is not included with the additional RM5 that will be given by Setel itself when they register and download the application,” he added.
According to him, the assistance given is one of Yadim’s initiatives in the Musaadah 3.0 series which was launched by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Islamic Affairs) Senator Datuk Dr. Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri on July 9.
“The initiative aims to alleviate the burden of income-affected groups due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Since this programme is the first programme where we contribute to the riders, InshaAllah we will continue our contribution to other groups as well,” he pointed out.
The said programme is collaboration between Yadim Sarawak together with Petronas and Petronas Ulu Bintawa Petrol Station.
Also present at the brief ceremony were Petronas area manager Mohd Jais Daud, Petronas Ulu Bintawa petrol station manager Masniah Suhailie, and Kuching zone Panda champion Allister Agan Trang who is the FoodPanda representative.
