Pet monkey sends neighbour into a panic

APM personnel managed to capture the pet monkey which broke loose from its cage.

MIRI: A pet monkey broke loose from its cage and caused a commotion among neighbours in a residential area at Lorong Perkasa 3B Senadin this morning.

Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) personnel, who were summoned to the scene, managed to capture the primate before it could cause move havoc.

According to sources, a 39-year-old woman was on her way to the backyard to water her flowers, when she saw the monkey sitting on her backyard gate.

Terrified, she immediately called up Miri APM for help.

It took the APM personnel less than 20 minutes to secure the area.

It is learnt that the monkey’s owner was not at home during the incident.
