MIRI: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) must remain strong and solid as it is the pillar of strength for Sarawak’s progress and unity.

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan stressed that the party must remain steadfast, not only to protect the interests of the Bumiputera community but also for the overall development of Sarawak.

“PBB is the pillar of strength for Sarawak’s future. It is not just the protector of the Bumiputera community but of all Sarawakians.

“The party’s resilience ensures the continued development and prosperity of the state, making Sarawak a dynamic and progressive region,” he said during the PBB Sarawak Northern Zone delegates meeting here yesterday.

Awang Tengah, who is the PBB Northern Zone chairman also praised the leadership of Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, noting the significant progress Sarawak has made under his guidance.

With leaders such as Datuk Seri Fadilah Yusof
serving as Deputy Prime Minister, along with Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi, Minister of Women, Family and Community Development Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri, and Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Hasbi Habibollah, he said Sarawak is positioned for continued growth and empowerment.

Calling for unity among PBB members, Awang Tengah urged that challenges in leadership roles should not deter their commitment.

“Every member has a role to play. Victory or defeat does not define us; it is our unity and determination that will drive Sarawak forward,” he added.

He further stressed the importance of being in tune with the people’s needs, saying the party must always prioritise integrity and progress in serving the people of Sarawak.

“PBB must listen to the aspirations of the rakyat and be ready to adapt. Without this, we risk becoming irrelevant,” he cautioned.
