BETONG: Members of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) are urged to stay informed about the latest developments, especially in emerging economic sectors that are the focus of the party leadership.

Krian PBB chief Bell Bernard Aggan said that party members should not fall behind.

“Imagine if we are unaware of what our leaders are doing—how can we convey this to the grassroots?
“Therefore, it is crucial for party members to be aware of the policies and initiatives of the GPS government so that we don’t get left behind,” he said.

He said this during the rehearsal for the PBB Betong Zone Delegates Meeting at the Tan Sri Datuk Amar Stephen Kalong Ningkan Hall today (Jan 24).

He further asserted that loyal party members must embody a culture of disciplined politics, remain focused, respect one another within the party, and prioritise unity.

“In addition, they should be committed and people-oriented in advancing Sarawak.

“Premier and PBB president Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and his colleagues have set an example that we can follow.

“That is why, during his eight years as the Premier (formerly Chief Minister), many achievements have been made year after year.

“In politics, Abang Johari has transformed the political landscape, reshaped Sarawak’s identity, and driven its development. His leadership has earned international recognition, particularly in the exploration of emerging economies,” he stated.

In preparing skilled human capital for Sarawak’s future economic sectors, Bell noted that Abang Johari has a vision and mission to nurture quality talent among the younger generation.

“This includes producing highly educated, skilled, innovative, and competitive individuals through support for education.

“Among the initiatives are the introduction of international school syllabuses, financial assistance, free education, and various scholarships,” he added.

In conjunction with this meeting, Bell described it as a strategic platform to strengthen political direction, empower members, and ensure the continuity of the party’s struggle.
