Paying contributions through ‘iPerkeso Employer Portal’

SIBU: The Social Security Organisation (Socso) encourages employers to pay contributions through ‘iPerkeso Employer Portal’ service.

State Socso director Philip Sangkan said the introducing of the contributions payment method using internet banking is facilitate the update of information needed.

He said the affairs of contribution payments could not be accepted at the Socso office or appointed banks starting on 1 January 2018.

“The system is easy to use and user friendly and employers can manage everything with their own appropriate time,” he said.

He told reporters after launching ‘Ops Kesan’ at Sibu Socso office on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Sibu Socso manager Tan Phang Chia said 164 employers have been using iPerkeso Employer Portal.

“The responses from employers in Sibu which are turning to iPerkeso Employer Portal were very encouraging. Thus, we hope that more employers are turning to use this system,” he said.

To register, employers need to log in to the website: www.iperkeso.my.

The public can contact Sibu Socso office at 084-213066 or visit its office at Pahlawan Road.

Earlier, in his speech, Philip said Socso will run Ops Kesan starting from 1 to 30 April for detecting employers who fail to register their business and pay contributions for their employers.

He said compound between RM500 and RM4,000 subject to the offense will be imposed on employers who fail to register with Socso after 1 April.
