KUCHING: Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (PAS) Sarawak has congratulated Datuk Abang Iskandar Abang Hashim on receiving his letter of appointment as the new Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak from Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah yesterday.
Abang Iskandar replaced Tan Sri David Wong Dak Wah.
“Abang Iskandar was born in Sibu, Sarawak on July 3, 1959. He graduated with an LLB (Hons) from Universiti Malaya in 1983. He has served since that year as a Magistrate in various parts of Sarawak,” said PAS Sarawak commissioner Jofri Jaraiee in a statement yesterday.
PAS Sarawak hoped that he would carry out his duty justly and for the good and wellbeing of the people.
