SARIKEI: A total allocation of RM355,500 under the Minor Rural Project (MRP) grant has been handed over to the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in the Kuala Rajang Constituency.

Twenty-four recipients from Sarikei zone received RM190,000 while 21 recipients in Tanjung Manis zone received a total of RM165,500.

Deputy Minister of Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment Datuk Len Talif Salleh was present during the symbolic handover held at Dewan Sri Nyelong here, recently.

Len expressed his hope that the allocated funds would be used for planned activities.

Due to the revised MRP fund disbursement procedures, he urged any PTAs seeking allocations to submit their applications earlier to ensure efficient coordination of all requests.

“At the very least, all allocation applications for next year should be submitted by the end of this year to avoid delays that may disrupt the school’s activity planning,” said Len.
