PADAWAN: A total of 44 Village Development and Security Committees (JKKK) and Church Associations in the Mambong constituency have received Special Project Grants totalling RM1,112,800.
The grant presentation ceremony was officiated by Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Dr Jerip Susil during a Community Leader Meeting at the Padawan Sub-District office on Friday.
In his speech, he advised the recipients to use the allocated funds efficiently and in accordance with the requirements specified in the Special Project Grant applications submitted to his office.
He also highlighted the importance of planning annual activities and submitting its applications by the month of July every year to facilitate the fund allocation process for the following year.
Also present at the event were Padawan sub-district administrative officer Julius Scott Sapong, Bidayuh community leader of Biperoh Penrissen Richard Daho, and chairman of the Penrissen Bidayuh Entrepreneurs Association Jores Sedek.
