OPPO is gearing up for the release of a new mid-ranger in China, the OPPO A5 Pro 5G. Read on to learn more about the device which is set for launch this 24 December at 2.30 pm local time, .
Hyping up the release, OPPO has posted several teasers about the A5 Pro 5G on its Weibo account, most of which focused on its durability. Specifically, OPPO lauded the smartphone for its “full-level waterproof 2.0” with IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings.
Moreover, the device will be offered in three colour options, namely, Sandstone Purple, Quartz White and Rock Black. Besides that, not much about the specs were revealed.
However, according to the typically knowledgeable leaker Digital Chat Station, in terms of imaging, the device is thought to have a 50MP main shooter, although its overall quality might not be at premium Oppo levels, judging from the comparatively minimal height of its camera hump alone.
The mid-tier contender is also rumoured to carry a premium design and display device of expansive dimensions: a 6.7-inch Full HD+ punch-hole screen with the 120Hz high refresh rate; thus, scrolling is bound to be much smoother for a more responsive user experience.
It was also revealed to have a ~5,800mAh battery in its TENAA certification, a detail that might prompt Oppo to market it as a ~6,000mAh device on its upcoming debut.
The A5 Pro is also now tipped to come with a distinctly mid-tier Dimensity 7300 chipset to go with the 8 to 12GB of RAM and 256 to 512GB of internal storage already outlined for it on Oppo’s website. On that note, the A5 Pro will seemingly be exclusive to the Chinese market on its launch, although it could join the A3 Pro 5G for the global market shortly.
