BAU: A man was nabbed for alleged involvement in online gambling activity at Kampung Pisa Krokong, here on Saturday (Mar 12).
Bau police chief DSP Poge Nyaon said the man was arrested at a grocery store around 5.50pm during an operation codenamed ‘Ops Dadu’ conducted in the district.
Police seized a tablet and some cash from the 29-year-old suspect.
The suspect along with the seized items, were brought to the police station for further action.
Poge said the suspect, who did not have any past record, will be investigated under Section 4(1)(c) of the Common Gaming Houses Act 1953.
The Section provides for a fine up to RM50,000 or, a jail term up to three years, upon conviction.
