KUCHING: Police arrested an 18-year-old teenager suspected of doing illegal online gambling activities.
He was caught during an operation codenamed “Ops Dadu” in Kampung Tamah, near the Kuching/Serian Road on Wednesday (Nov 18).
Padawan police chief, Supt Aidil Bolhassan said a raid was conducted on a shop premises at Kampung Tamah after complaints were received regarding the suspect.
He added that police also seized cash amounting to RM160, a piece of paper with numbers and IDs written on it, and a smartphone.
He said the suspect was arrested under Section 41 (c) of the Common Gaming Houses Act 1953.
