KUCHING: Colombian fighter Johan ‘Panda Kick’ Estupinan has claimed victory over Sarawak born Johan ‘Jojo’ Ghazali after a unanimous decision by the judges in a thrilling contest.

The ONE championship flyweight bout, held at the Impact Arena in Bangkok last night (Jan 24), kept fans on the edge of their seats as the two Johans went to war.

In the opening round, both fighters were cautious, but 18-year old Jojo struck first with a powerful punch, knocking Estupinan down.

However, Estupinan came back stronger in the second, landing a clean punch to Jojo’s face, evening the score.

The third round proved decisive. Estupinan unleashed his signature ‘Panda Kick,’ which landed squarely and cut Jojo’s eyebrow, leaving him bloodied and battered.

Despite Jojo’s valiant effort, the relentless onslaught from Estupinan proved too much to withstand.

As the final bell rang, Estupinan secured his fifth straight win in the ONE Championship, maintaining an unbeaten record of 5-0.
