MIRI: An oil tanker carrying 16,000 litres of diesel tipped onto its side near Ladang 3, at the Pan Borneo Highway today.

The driver was reported unhurt.


20 Pan Borneo workers help in the cleaning effort.

Batu Niah Fire and Rescue station chief, Rary Binjie, said that they received a report at 1.59 pm and arrived at the scene by 2.35 pm.

A Pan Borneo contractor supplied 10 tonnes of sand, which was used to cover the oil spill along a 30-meter stretch of the road.

The cleanup operation concluded around 5.25 pm.
