KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) has added 12 entities to its Financial Consumer Alert (FCA) list, warning the public about unlicensed companies and websites offering financial services.
Among the latest names flagged are Versa Investment (not linked to Versa Asia Sdn Bhd), Master Binary, Sejahtera Invest, Sahabat Invest, Tengku Forex, Global Asia FX, Bold Prime and Fokiyoks.
BNM also noted updates involving Invest KL Malaysia (not related to InvestKL), HSBC Bank Investment (not related to HSBC Bank Malaysia Bhd), and Headway.
The central bank said the FCA list, available at bnm.gov.my/fca, is based on public reports and internal assessments, but is not exhaustive.
“Always exercise caution before investing in any scheme,” BNM advised, adding that absence from the list does not imply legitimacy. — BERNAMA
