KUCHING: As of Tuesday (Aug 1), Norleha Shariff has assumed the position of Resident of Kuching.
She succeeds Fathi Hambali, who has been transferred to the Administrative Unit of the Sarawak Premier’s Department.
The official handing over of duties took place at the Kuching Resident’s Office, where Fathi officially handed over his responsibilities to Norleha.
Prior to her appointment, Norleha served as the acting director of the Administration Unit of the Sarawak Premier’s Department.
The ceremony was witnessed by several officials, including Kuching Deputy Resident Dr Cheong Yaw Ling, Kuching District officer Solfi Jebal, Bau District officer Constantine Gerald David Jonas and Lundu District officer Gustian Durani.
