KUCHING: The secretary-general of Sarawak Football Association (FAS), Razali Dolhan, insisted that the match schedule at noon time at home for the Sarawak squad as shown in the recently released schedule is only of temporary status.
According to Razali, the original schedule (nightly) changes may occur if the problem of some of the floodlights at Stadium Negeri, Petra Jaya can be overcome immediately. “If the damaged floodlights have been repaired by Sarawak State Stadium Corporation (PSNS), Sarawak may be playing back at night time,” said Razali.
“I cannot confirm until when the problem can be resolved. The brightness of the floodlights in the State Stadium, Petra Jaya, does not meet the criteria set by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) due to the damage of some of the lights,” he said. – By Faizal Bujang
