KUCHING: Nine new projects worth RM48 million were approved during the Sri Aman Development Agency (SADA) Steering Committee Meeting No. 4.

Chairperson Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim stated that the SADA Steering Committee held its fourth meeting this year at a hotel here.

“The objective was to obtain approval for proposed new projects, and as a result of the meeting, nine out of 15 proposed projects, costing RM48,052,000, were approved,” she said in a statement today.

She explained that the approved projects include the construction of the Sri Aman Community Social Support Center (CSSC), the Edible-Nest Swiftlet House Project, the Farm Road Project at Rumah Panjang Temiling Ibai, Bintong, the Farm Road Project in Kampung Abok, Pantu and the Farm Road Project at Rumah Panjang Jelema Gimang, Limau, Pantu.

“Other projects include the construction of 50 cottage industry units in Simanggang, land acquisition for the new Pantu Administrative Center, and a new service centre project in Batu Lintang.

“In addition, the projects also involve the construction of a plaza drop-off area and riverbank protection for Tebingan Sungai Lingga,” she added.

Earlier, 15 projects were proposed, covering the infrastructure, agriculture, economic and social development sectors.

Rohani further revealed that as of December 2024, seven projects under SADA have been completed.

“The completed projects include the temporary campus of the Sarawak Skills Development Center (Sarawak Skills) Sri Aman Branch, flood mitigation in the Kejamut area (Packages A, B, C, and D), an orangutan observation hut and the installation of traffic lights at several main intersections along the Sri Aman Access Road (Q7).

“In this regard, my gratitude goes to Members of Parliament and State Assembly Representatives (ADUN) in the Sri Aman Division for their cooperation with the Resident’s Office, District Offices and all implementing agencies in resolving related issues.

“Through this collaboration, project implementation issues can be resolved and agreements have been reached by all involved parties,” she added.

KUCHING: Sembilan projek baharu diluluskan semasa Mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Pemandu Agensi Pembangunan Bahagian Sri Aman (SADA) Bil.4, yang bernilai RM48 juta.

Pengerusinya Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim berkata, Jawatankuasa Pemandu SADA telah bermesyuarat bagi kali keempat tahun ini di salah sebuah hotel di Kuching.

“Tujuannya, mendapatkan kelulusan bagi cadangan projek baharu dan hasil mesyuarat, sembilan daripada 15 cadangan projek dengan kos RM48,052,000 telah diluluskan,” katanya dalam kenyataan, semalam.

Jelasnya, ia melibatkan projek pembinaan Pusat Sokongan Sosial Komuniti (CSSC) Sri Aman, Projek Rumah Burung Walit, Projek Jalan Ladang di Rumah Panjang Temiling Ibai, Bintong, Jalan Ladang Kampung Abok, Pantu dan Jalan Ladang di Rumah Panjang Jelema Gimang, Limau, Pantu.

“Antara lain, projek pembinaan 50 unit industri kotej di Simanggang, projek pengambilan tanah bagi Pusat Pentadbiran Baharu Pantu, projek Pusat Perkhidmatan baharu di Batu Lintang.

“Di samping itu, projek membina dataran kejat serta perlindungan tebingan sungai Tebingan Sungai Lingga,” ujarnya.

Terdahulu dicadangkan 15 projek merangkumi sektor pembangunan infrastruktur, pertanian, ekonomi dan sosial.

Rohani menyatakan, setakat Disember 2024, dilaporkan sebanyak tujuh projek di bawah SADA telah siap pelaksanaannya.

“Kampus sementara Pusat Pembangunan Kemahiran Sarawak (Sarawak Skills) Cawangan Sri Aman, tebatan banjir di kawasan Kejamut (Pakej A, B, C dan D), pondok balai cerap Orang Utan dan pemasangan lampu isyarat di beberapa persimpangan utama sepanjang Jalan Akses Sri Aman (Q7).

“Sehubungan itu, terima kasih kepada Ahli Parlimen dan Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (ADUN) di Bahagian Sri Aman kerana telah berusaha bersama-sama Pejabat Residen dan Pejabat Daerah serta semua agensi pelaksana dalam menyelesaikan isu-isu berkaitan.

“Dengan adanya kerjasama ini, isu pelaksanaan projek dapat diselesaikan dan mendapat persetujuan dari semua pihak yang terlibat,” tambahnya.
