SERIAN: The Armada Anak Seni Sarawak (ARAS) and the Bidayuh Artistes And Musicians Association Sarawak (BAMA) have come together to assist the victims of a fire that struck Kampung Krusen Siu here.

The two organisations established a collection centre to gather used goods, food, and monetary donations for those affected by the disaster.

ARAS in a statement said the community members responded with generosity, providing essential items to help the victims in their time of need.

Notably, owner of Ma Hung Food Stuff Datuk Tay Yung Hock made a significant contribution by donating essential food items such as rice, sugar, and bottled water.

Members of the association hand over the aid to fire victims.

“His support is a testament to the spirit of giving that has emerged from this unfortunate event,” the statement added.

A spokesperson for the relief effort expressed gratitude for the overwhelming community response, stating, “It’s inspiring to see everyone come together to support those in need. These donations will greatly assist the families affected by the fire.”
