SIMANGGANG: Sri Aman Hospital II is planned to include a new psychiatric block and a new specialist clinic block.

The project proposal was discussed during the coordination meeting for the new construction proposal of the psychiatric block and specialist clinic block.

This meeting aimed to detail the plans before seeking approval at the upcoming Sri Aman Development Agency (SADA) steering committee meeting.

Key points of the discussion included the necessity of constructing a new psychiatric ward, a specialist clinic and upgrading the existing operating rooms.

These developments are crucial for providing psychiatric specialist services to the residents of Sri Aman and addressing the increasing number of patients seeking specialist treatment at the hospital.

The coordination meeting was chaired by Sri Aman Division Resident Mahra Salleh in the main meeting room of the SADA building.

A briefing on the proposal was delivered by Sri Aman Hopital  deputy director Dr Sim Poh Ling.

Other notable attendees included SADA special administrative officer Datuk Indit Bangai; Dr Michael Chan, a representative from the Sarawak Health Department; and representatives from the Sri Aman Public Works Department (JKR), Sri Aman Land and Survey Department (JTS), and Sri Aman District Office.
