KUALA LUMPUR: The latest and more versatile version of the Honda BR-V is now open for booking.
Honda Malaysia managing director and chief executive officer, Toichi Ishiyama said the full 7-seater crossover was developed exclusively by Honda R&D Asia Pacific (HRAP) for the Asean market.
“The new Honda BR-V is the first HRAP model in Malaysia and is set to cater to the increasing market demand for a 7-seater car that is spacious and versatile at the same time.
“Since its launch in 2017, over 36,000 units of BR-V were sold in the country as at January 2020. This result was translated into 45 per cent market share in 2019, which helped the BR-V maintain its position as the segment leader,” he said in a statement today.
According to him, besides the improved exterior, the New BR-V is powered by a 1.5L SOHC i-VTEC engine, generating a maximum power output of 120PS and torque of 145Nm, which is the highest in its segment.
The New BR-V comes with new leather seats with added red accent to provide a sporty and comfortable experience for both driver and passengers.
It is set to be launched in Malaysia in Q1 2020. – Bernama
