KUCHING: A Rest and Service Area (RSA) in Jelukong is all set to open its doors to the public on January 1, 2024.

Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said that the project is nearly complete, with around 83 per cent of the work done.

“The RSA here will provide various stalls for purchasing food and drinks. Additionally, it will feature a space for small businesses to showcase their products. Alongside this, you’ll find a surau (prayer room), restrooms, and other convenient facilities,” he said during his visit to the RSA today (Aug 14).

He went on to add that two more RSAs are planned along the Pan Borneo Highway. One is being developed at Sungai Arip in Selangau, and another at Lambir in Miri.

“As for the one at Sungai Arip, it’s currently 14 per cent complete, while the Lambir RSA is still in the planning stages,” he said.
