TATAU: Calvin Ligong Bujang, also known as Endawie, officially assumed duty today as the new District Officer of Tatau, succeeding Jabang Juntan, who has been transferred to the Bukit Mabong District Office in Kapit.

The brief induction ceremony took place in the Meeting Room of the Tatau District Office and was attended by Assistant District Officer Winnie Dian, Administrative Officer Raden Azamry Raden Perhan, Pemanca Gerosen Jubin, and various community leaders from the Tatau District.

Previously, Calvin served as the District Officer of Bukit Mabong in Kapit for 21 months.

In his brief address, he expressed his dedication to fostering structured development within the district and enhancing relationships with the local community.

The Tatau District, situated in the Bintulu Division, spans an area of approximately 4,945.85 square kilometres and is governed by 282 village chiefs and community leaders (KMKK).

Its administrative hub is located in Tatau Town, which is 60 kilometres away from Bintulu Town.
