KUALA LUMPUR: Samsung Electronics Malaysia has introduced a new cooling technology with the new wind-free air conditioner to cater to Malaysian consumers to cope with hot weather, as well as providing a cooler indoor climate and optimal energy efficiency without the discomfort of direct cold airflow.
Jimmy Tan, head of consumer electronics business of Samsung Malaysia Electronics, said the AR9500M air conditioner provides an ideal solution to the customers by maintaining a comfortable room temperature, using Wind-Free Cooling technology to gently disperse cold air through 21,000 micro air holes.
“Wind-Free Cooling is a two-step cooling system which first lowers temperatures in ‘Fast-Cooling Mode’ then automatically switches to ‘Wind-Free Cooling Mode’ which creates ‘still air’ once it reaches the desired temperature. This approach can reduce energy consumption by up to 72 per cent compared to Fast-Cooling mode,” he said in a statement today.
Tan said Samsung strives to provide Malaysians with an innovative solution through Wind-Free technology, which produces gentle air spread evenly throughout the room, maintaining a comfortable temperature without any unpleasant direct airflow.
He added that this new model has a wider inlet, which allows more air to be drawn in at once, while boasting the optimal width and angle of the outlet, extra v-blades, and a large fan, 22 per cent larger than previous models.
“The AR9500M is enabled with the Smart Control WiFi and can be controlled anywhere through Samsung’s Smart Things app. Users can remotely regulate the temperature, adjust settings, and receive real-time updates about the air conditioner’s performance and daily energy usage,” he said.
Samsung is having its ‘A Cooling Revolution’ campaign from now until Dec 31 where customers who purchase this product at selected Samsung Brand Shops can enjoy a full two-year warranty and a 10-year compressor coverage.
In conjunction with the Samsung Gemilang Celebration that ends on Sept 30, the purchase of this product will entitle customers to a free installation and a free gift of dry iron or thermocafe 0.5ml with pouch. – Bernama
