KAPIT: Members of the South Neighbourhood Committee held a gathering to celebrate Mother’s Day at a food court here last Friday evening.
The gathering was also to coincide with the committee’s second quarterly meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Ma Tian Ho. Present at the meeting were the secretary, Sng Geok Yian, treasurer, Ting Bee Eng and exco members Alden Hillary, Chua Kian Guan, James Ling, Teoh Say Beng, Wee Hui Ping, Yeo Kim Teck and Sng Geok Seng.
During the meeting the members agreed to organise the various activities including celebrating Gawai Dayak with OKU (persons with disabilities) at PDK (Community Based Children Rehabilitation Centre) later this month, Gawai visit to Bukit Goram Assemblyman, Jefferson Jamit Unyat on 1 June, organise National Day Children Colouring Competition (31 August), organise Handball Competition (October), Christmas Party with OKU and hospital visit to present festive gifts to the children (December).
Earlier this year during the Chinese New Year, the activities held by the members included a visit to the Pediatric and Maternity Ward of Kapit Hospital (January) and farewell party to outgoing Kapit officer in charge of Jabatan Perpaduan Dan Integrasi, Puan Siti Nurfatimah who was transferred to Mukah (February ) and sending a Futsal team to participate in the Kementerian Belia, Sukan Dan Integriti organised by Futsal Club in Song (March).
