Needy schoolchildren given stationeries

KUCHING: Over 300 pre-schoolers, primary and secondary school students received stationery supplies from non-governmental organisation (NGO) Hope Place Kuching.

The stationeries, including pencil boxes, pencils, pens, erasers, books and various other items, were donated to Hope Place to be distributed to underprivileged schoolchildren.

Hope Place Kuching expressed its thanks to those who had donated the items.

Hope Place can be reached at 013-567 2775. The NGO currently looks after more than 190 needy families.

Its doors are open from 8.30am-5pm from Mondays to Fridays, and 8.45am-12pm on Saturdays.

Members of the public interested in making a monetary donation can bank in to Persatuan Kebajikan Harapan Kuching, using Maybank account number 5112-8900-1160.
