MUKAH: The National Unity Action Plan (PTPN) 2021-2025 draft feedback session was held at Dewan Suarah Mesra here on Friday (Sept 4).

Its objectives, among others, was to mobilise the government’s efforts towards national unity in order to minimise tension and conflict as well as racial polarisation.

Tellian assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo briefly explained the importance of the five principles of Rukun Negara in helping the country progress to become what it is today.

According to him, Rukun Negara had also helped in safeguarding unity among the multi-racial and multi-religious people in Malaysia.

“Unity therefore, has to be continuously safeguarded to enable us to live harmoniously,” he said when launching the session.

He also called on successful people to guide and assist the less fortunate ones, especially those living in rural areas.

He said this was to enable the less successful people to develop together towards a progressive and harmonious society.

The session also featured a video presentation on the PTPN 2021-2025, a public talk moderated by National Unity and National Integration Department Mukah Divisional Unity officer Lau Siew Yen, and a quiz on PTPN.
